Embark on an Epic Clicking Adventure
Start your journey by clicking on the monster in the center of the screen. Each click deals damage. Defeating monsters earns you gold, which is the currency you'll use to grow your power. Progress through zones, facing tougher enemies and eventually challenging powerful bosses every five zones.
Recruit and Upgrade Heroes
Gold isn't just for clicking power; it's for hiring heroes! Unlock a vast array of unique heroes, each with their own base damage and special abilities. Level up your heroes to drastically increase their damage output. At specific level milestones (like 10, 25, 50, etc.), heroes unlock powerful passive or active skills that provide massive boosts to your damage, gold income, or clicking power. The synergy between heroes and their upgrades is key to progressing.
The Path to Ascendance
As you push further into zones, progress will eventually slow. This is where the core idle mechanic and the concept of "Ascending" comes into play. Upon reaching Zone 100, you can choose to Ascend. This resets your zone progress, heroes, and gold, but you gain Hero Souls based on the Primal Bosses you defeated. Hero Souls are a permanent currency used to summon Ancients, who provide powerful, persistent bonuses that make your next playthrough much faster and allow you to reach even higher zones. This cycle of pushing, ascending, and gaining power is the addictive loop of Clicker Heroes.
